Handset Wireless Network Connection and Settings

Wireless network settings

This feature allows you to set the handset to connect to wireless networks.

See “Find wireless networks” on page 108.

Preferred networks list

This feature allows you to manage the wireless networks settings registered in the handset. The preferred networks enable you to connect automatically to the wireless networks you usually use. The handset will attempt to connect to network beginning with the highest position networks in the preferred networks list.

Up to 21 entries can be registered. 1 is reserved for the base unit. If you can’t find the base unit, register the handset (page 133).

To view network settings in preferred networks list:

1 {Menu} (middle soft key)

2 Settingsi{Select}

3 Networki{Select}

4 Preferred networksi{Select}

L The base unit is displayed as “Base unit

5 Select the desired network. i{Select}

Network settings of the base unit:

TCP IP(HOME)/

TCP IP(HOTEL)

Select “TCP IP(HOME)” or “TCP IP(HOTEL)i {Select}

LView connection type (DHCP/Static IP)

LView IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, DNS server 1 and DNS server 2 when connection type is Static IP.
