Symptom

Images are not fit in the frames.

Displayed images are distort- ed.

Black lines appear on the screen.

Black bars are displayed on both edges of the screen.

A picture is sometimes output twice or skipped.

Cause/solution

When "120 DPI" is not selected for "DPI setting", they may not be displayed correctly.

Click the [Settings] tab on the "Properties" window of "Screen" (in the control panel), and then click the [Advanced] button. Change the "DPI setting" to

"Large size (120 DPI)".

Images may be distorted when non-interlace sig- nals, VCR (VTR) signals or signals not compliant with the standard in your locality are transmitted.

Black lines may appear on the images displayed on the screen when transmitting the VD2 synchroniza- tion signals to cameras not supporting the VD2 syn- chronization. Deactivate the VD2 synchronization.

When the image capture mode is D1, due to the standard of video signal, black bars appear instead of images on both edges of the screen. Black bar(s) also appear(s) even in the VGA mode when signals not compliant with the standard in your locality are transmitted.

Such a phenomenon occurs when the video fre- quency of a camera and that of the unit are not fully synchronized.

When using cameras supporting the VD2 syn- chronization:

Select "Int" for "Video sync", and then select "On" for "VD2".

When using cameras not supporting the VD2 synchronization:

Select "Ch1" for "Video sync".

With this setting, the unit operates synchronized with the video frequency of the camera that sup- plies the input signal to Ch1.
