Letter Description of Feature

ATx path: without this the modem can be Rx only

BRx path: without this the modem can be Tx only

P Variable rate: Variable data rate if enabled (see `R`), fixed if not (See `Q`)

S70MHz IF interface: IF frequencies in the range 50 - 90MHz (provides 50-180MHz if feature `T` also)

U100Hz IF synth steps: 2.5KHz if not enabled

VMisc ASIC functions: Terrestrial CRC support & BER monitoring

N *	Viterbi FEC (to IESS 308/309), rate ½, ¾, &	in BPSK, QPSK and OQPSK.
M *	Sequential FEC (to IESS 312) , rate ½, ¾ &	fin BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK

LReed-Solomon outer FEC (to IESS 308/310), with n, k, t = 126, 112, 7
