Setting the sound focusequalizer (SFEQ)Clarifyingthe sound image of vocals and in-
strumentsallows the simple staging of a nat-
ural,pleasant sound environment. Even
greaterlistening enjoyment will be obtained if
seatingpositions are chosen carefully.
FRONT1boosts the treble on the front output
andthe bass on the rear output. FRONT2
booststhe treble and the bass on the front out-
putand the bass on the rear output. (The bass
boostis the same for both front andrear.) For
bothFRONT1 and FRONT2,Hsetting provides
amore pronounced effect than Lsetting.
!Youcannot use EQ-EX function and SFEQ
functionsimultaneously.

!Ifyou adjust the bass or treble, CUSTOM
memorizesan SFEQ setting in which the bass
andtreble are adjusted for personal prefer-
ence.
!Ifyou switch the SFEQ setting, the HPF func-
tionis automatically turned off. By turning the
HPFfunction on after selecting the SFEQ set-
ting,you can combine HPF function with
SFEQfunction.
