Youcan use this menu to change audio, subti-
tle,parental lock and other DVD settings.
!Whenwatching a DVD/Video CD on the
reardisplay independently, you cannot op-
eratethis menu.
1DVDsetup menu display
Showsthe DVD setup menu names.
1 Touchg.
SETUPwill be displayed instead of MENU.
2 TouchSETUP when the disc is stopped.
TheDVD setup menu is displayed.
#WhenSETUP is not displayed, you can display
itby touching the screen.
#Youcan also display DVD SETUP by pressing
MENUon the remote control when the disc is
stopped.
3 Touchany of LANGUAGE, VISUAL or
OTHERSto display the DVD setup function
names.
TheDVD setup function names in selected
menuare displayed.
#Togo to the next group of function names,
touchNEXT.
#Toreturn to the previous group of function
names,touch PREV.
#Toreturn to the previous display, touch BACK.
#Toreturn to the playback display, touch ESC.
Note
Ifyou do not operate the DVD setup function
withinabout 30 seconds, the display is automati-
callyreturned to the playback display.
Setting the subtitle language
Youcan set a desired subtitle language. If the
selectedsubtitle language is recorded on the
DVD,subtitles are displayed in that language.
1 TouchSETUP and LANGUAGE and then
touchSUB TITLE LANGUAGE.
Asubtitle language menu is displayed and the
currentlyset language is highlighted.
#Toswitch to the second language select
menu,touch NEXT.
#Toreturn to the first language select menu,
touchPREV.
2 Touchthe desired language.
Asubtitle language is set.
#Ifyou have selected OTHERS, refer to When
youselect OTHERS on the next page.
Notes
!Ifthe selected language is not recorded on
thedisc, the language specified on the disc is
displayed.
!Youcan also switch the subtitle language by
touchingSUB.T during playback. (Refer to
Changingthe subtitle language during play-
back(Multi-subtitle) on page 31.)
!Evenif you use SUB.T to switch the subtitle
language,this does not affect the settings
here.
