Showswhich source has been selected.
Youcan select a source you want to listen to. If
DVDDISC AUTO is turned on, load adisc in
theunit to switch to DVD (refer to Switching
theautomatic disc playback on page 84).
%Whenusing the touch panel keys,
touchthe source icon and then touch the
desiredsource name.
Thesource names are displayed and select-
ableones are highlighted.

Notes
!Inthe following cases, the sound source will
notchange:
Whenthere is no unit corresponding to the
selectedsource connected to this unit.
Whenthere is no disc in the unit.
Whenthere is no disc in the DVD player.
Whenthere is no magazine in the multi-
CDplayer.
Whenthere is no magazine in the multi-
DVDplayer.
Whenthe AUX (auxiliary input) is set to off
(referto page 83).
Whenthe AV (video input) is not set to
VIDEO(refer to page 86).
!Externalunit refers to a Pioneer product (such
asone available in the future) that, although
incompatibleas a source, enables control of
basicfunctions by this unit. Two external units
canbe controlled by this unit. When two exter-
nalunits are connected, the allocation of
themto external unit 1 or external unit 2 is
automaticallyset by this unit.
!Whenthis units blue/white lead is connected
tothe vehicles auto-antenna relay control
terminal,the vehicles antenna extends when
thisunits source is turned on. To retract the
antenna,turn the source off.
Loading a disc
%Inserta disc into the disc loading slot.
Playbackwill automatically start.
