Caring for YourProduct

Likeany electronic device, the Polar training computer
shouldbe treated with care. The suggestions below will
helpyou fulfill guarantee obligations and enjoy this
productfor many years to come.
Detachthe transmitter connector from the strap and rinse
thestrap under running water after every use. Dry the
connectorwith a soft towel. Never use alcohol or any
abrasivematerial (e.g. steel wool or cleaning chemicals).
Washthe strap regularly in a washing machine at
40ºC/104ºFor at least after every fifth use. This ensures
reliablemeasurement and maximizes the life span of the
transmitter.Use a washing pouch. Do not soak, spin-dry,
iron,dry clean or bleach the strap. Do not use detergent
withbleach or fabric softener. Never put the transmitter
connectorin the washing machine or drier!
Dryand store the strap and the transmitter connector
separatelyto maximize the transmitter battery lifetime.
Washthe strap in a washing machine before long-term
storageand always after use in pool water with high
chlorinecontent.
Keepyour training computer and transmitter in a cool and
dryplace. Do not keep them in a damp environment, in
non-breathablematerial (a plastic bag or a sports bag) nor
withconductive material (a wet towel). The training
computerand transmitter are water resistant, and can be
usedin water activities. Other compatible sensors are
waterresistant, and can be used in rainy weather. Do not
exposethe training computer to direct sunlight for
extendedperiods, such as by leaving it in a car or
mountedon the bike mount.
