1. Openthe battery cover with a coin by turning it from CLOSE to OPEN.
2. • When changing wrist unit battery (2a), remove the battery cover and lift
thebattery out carefully with a suitable sized small rigid stick or bar,
suchas a toothpick. A non-metal tool is preferable. Be careful not to
damagethe metal sound element (*) or the grooves. Insert a new battery
withthe positive (+) side outwards.
•Whenchanging transmitter battery (2b), place the battery inside the
coverwith the positive (+) side facing the cover.
3. Replacethe old sealing ring with a new one (if available), fitting it snugly in
thecover groove to ensure water resistance.
4. Putthe cover back on and turn clockwise to CLOSE.
5. Pleaseenter basic settings is displayed. Press and hold the BACK
buttonto skip the Basic settings.
Ifyou re-enter the Basic Settings, the training computer thinks there is a
newuser and the STAR Program is turned off.
6. Goto Settings mode and adjust time and date.
7. Toreturn to Time mode, press and hold the BACK button. Now your FT80
canbe used normally.
