Ifyou are allergic to any substance that comes into
contactwith your skin or if you suspect an allergic
reactiondue to using the product, check the listed
materialsin Technical Specifications. To avoid any skin
reactionto the transmitter, wear it over a shirt, but
moistenthe shirt well under the electrodes to ensure
flawlessoperation.
Thecombined impact of moisture and intense abrasion may
causea black color to come off the transmitter’s surface,
possiblystaining light-colored clothes. If you use perfume or
insectrepellent on your skin, you must ensure that it does not
comeinto contact with the training computer or the transmitter.
Trainingequipment with electronic components may
causeinterfering stray signals. To tackle these problems,
trythe following:
1. Removethe transmitter from your chest and use the
trainingequipment as you would normally.
2. Movethe wrist unit around until you find an area in
whichit displays no stray reading or does not flash the
heartsymbol. Interference is often worst right in front
ofthe display panel of the equipment, while the left or
rightside of the display is relatively free of
disturbance.
3. Putthe transmitter back on your chest and keep the
wristunit in this interference-free area as much as
possible.
Ifthe FT80 still does not work, the piece of equipment
maybe electrically too noisy for wireless heart rate
measurement.
