Loading Thick Paper,

Envelope or OHP

Transparencies

You can load thick paper, envelope or OHP transparencies onto the tray 2.

When thick paper or OHP transpar- encies are loaded, switch the lever in- side of the paper tray.

Important

❒When you set thick paper in tray 2, do not stack paper above the lower limit mark (A) of tray 2.

AChange the lever on the paper size dial of the tray 2 to the "Thick paper” mode.

Limitation

❒If the “Thick paper” mode is se- lected, the function for using the tray 2 is not available.

The yellow line appears under the paper size indication on the front of the paper tray.

❒Return the lever to the left side, after you finished printing on thick paper.

Loading Paper on PS420 (Paper Feed Unit)

This section describes instructions to load paper in the optional paper feed unit PS420. You can load A4 long- edge feed (Metric version) or 81/2" × 11" long-edge feed (Inch version) size onto PS420.

Note

❒Load the paper that is the same size on the right and left sides of the paper feed unit.

ASlide the paper tray out until it stops.
