Using the Multi-Bay

The weight saver, floppy disk drive, or auxiliary hard disk drive is installed in the multi-bay on the right side of the system. To install and use a different module, follow the procedures below.

1.Shut down the system, and close the LCD panel.

2.Place the system on a flat surface so that it is upside down.

3.Remove the multi bay lock screws with a screwdriver, and carefully pull out the multi bay module.

4.Insert a new multi bay module into the system, push the module in until it is secured, and secure it using the screw.

5.If you install a floppy disk drive, the computer recognizes it automatically, and you can use the drive after a short while. To install a secondary hard disk drive, refer to ”Using the Auxiliary Hard Disk (Optional)” (p 81).
