To select copy quality:

1Press Quality. The current setting is tagged with a at the end of the display.

2Scroll through the options available by pressing Quality repeatedly or using the Scroll buttons ( or ).

3When the desired mode is displayed, press Enter to save the selection.

NOTE: While the Paper Save feature is active, you cannot change the quality using the Quality button. The quality is fixed to “NORMAL”.

Contrast

Contrast is the difference in brightness between the lightest and darkest parts of a printed document. You can adjust the contrast the product will use to copy a document. Adjust it according to how light or dark your document is.

You can select LIGHTEN, PHOTO, DARKEN or NORMAL. The LIGHTEN contrast is good for documents containing dark images. The NORMAL contrast works well with a standard document. The DARKEN contrast works well with light print or faint pencil markings. Choose the PHOTO contrast if you are copying a photograph.
