7-3 Tele-File Menu

To modify attribute data

You can modify the title, ID, administrator data, and write inhibit setting attributes.

However, the attributes cannot be modified when the write inhibit setting is ON. Proceed as follows after setting the write inhibit setting to OFF.

1Rotate the MULTI CONTROL knob to select the item.

The F2 (SELECT) button is enabled when you select an item that can be modified (title, ID, administrator data, and write inhibit setting).

2Press the F2 (SELECT) button.

The data can be set or modified.

3Rotate the MULTI CONTROL knob to set or modify the data.

4Press the F2 (SET) button.

The change to the setting is confirmed.

Note

In the following cases, the SELECT item does not appear, and it is not possible to select a data modification mode.

•When setup menu item 133 is set to REMOTE

•When the memory label itself is write protected

To format the Tele-File memory

You can format the Tele-File memory (erase all modifiable data). However, the memory cannot be formatted in the following cases.

•When the write inhibit setting is ON

•When the control protocol is “remote”

To format Tele-File memory, proceed as follows.

1Press the F4 (FORMAT) button. A confirmation message appears.

2Press the F2 (OK) button.

All modifiable data is erased.

Note

In the following cases, the FORMAT item does not appear, and it is not possible to select a data modification mode.

•When setup menu item 133 is set to REMOTE

•When the memory label itself is write protected
