nInstalling the mute cover

The mute cover reduces the printer’s operating sounds.

Note the position of the guide pins on the mute cover as shown in Figure 1-6. Holding the mute cover at each end, insert the guide pins into the cutout hooks on the printer cover. Hold the mute cover down onto the printer.

To remove it, reverse the procedure.
