Printer ports

This section includes information on the parallel and Ethernet ports. Information on the serial port is available on the CD-ROM, on the HAL and EuroHAL automated fax systems, and through the Internet. Refer to ÒAt a glance: electronic addresses and telephone numbersÓ on page 6-1.

Parallel port

The printer has a standard unidirectional, byte-wide parallel, synchronous port. When you use the parallel port, be sure to type this command at the PC (if LPT1 is not available, use LPT2):

The table shows the parallel portÕs connected pins. Other pins are not connected. Signal names ending with a dash (-) are asserted low.
