Getting Set Up 2

Turning on the printer

After you have connected all the interface cables, you are ready to connect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Caution Before applying power, verify that the line voltage of your printer (indicated on the printer’s rear panel) matches the line voltage in your area to avoid damage to the printer.

To protect your printer from a power surge, make sure that the power switch on the side of the printer is in the off position before plugging in the cord.

1.Plug the power cord into the printer and into a properly grounded electrical outlet.

2.Turn on the printer.
