Downloading fonts

The printer accepts PostScript Type 1 and Type 3 downloadable fonts including those from Adobe, AGFA, Bitstream, Microsoft, Apple, and many others.

The Phaser 480X also accepts TrueType fonts (Type 42), which are scalable to any point size and look the same on the screen as they do printed.

If you have an external hard disk connected to the Phaser 480X, you can store the downloadable fonts on it. For details on using fonts, look on the CD-ROM or contact TektronixÕ HAL system at 1-800-835-6100.

Screen fonts

For information on downloading screen fonts, use one of the following:

■Phaser 480X CD-ROM

■Network resources (World Wide Web, eWorld, America Online, CompuServe)

■HAL and EuroHAL, the Tektronix automated fax system. Refer to Chapter 6 for more information.
