The types of documentation available include: data sheets, such as this document, with design specifications; complete user’s reference guides for all devices and tools; technical briefs; development-support tools; on-line help; and hardware and software applications. The following is a brief, descriptive list of support documentation specific to the C6000DSP devices:

The TMS320C6000 CPU and Instruction Set Reference Guide (literature number SPRU189) describes the C6000DSP core (CPU) architecture, instruction set, pipeline, and associated interrupts.

The TMS320C6000 DSP Peripherals Overview Reference Guide [hereafter referred to as the C6000 PRG Overview] (literature number SPRU190) provides an overview and briefly describes the functionality of the peripherals available on the C6000DSP platform of devices. This document also includes a table listing the peripherals available on the C6000 devices along with literature numbers and hyperlinks to the associated peripheral documents. TMS320C6000 DSP Software-Programmable Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) Controller Reference Guide (literature number SPRU233) describes the functionality of the PLL peripheral available on the C6712C/12D device.
