SDI Configuration

SDI Audio Input

Input can be through 1/8" mini-phono jack, from AudioMate, or

 

from within the SDI data using SDI 1-2 or SDI 3 -4.

 

 

Audio Gain

If SDI 1-2 or SDI 3-4 is chosen as the audio input, the audio gain

 

settings have no effect.

 

 

SDI Limitations

Although most of the WM encoder's compression, streaming, and serving capabilities are the same when using SDI video as they are when using analog video, there are certain limitations when the encoder is configured for SDI video input.

Video Limitations with SDI Video Input

Video Closed Caption is not supported. (Only Inserted Closed Caption is supported.)

Encoder Video Hue control has no effect.

Audio Limitations with SDI Video Input and SDI Audio Input

These limitations are imposed when the Audio Input selection is SDI 1-2 or SDI 3-4:

MBR Audio is not available. (Only one audio rate is supported.)

Audio Gain settings have no effect.

Bit rate selections are limited to the following:

192,000 (Stereo)

160,000 (Stereo)

128,000 (Stereo)

MBR Audio is not available. (Only one audio rate is supported.)
