Handset and base indicators
Ringer off indicator
• displays when the base ringer is turned of f.
Line in use indicator
• On when an extension h andset or parallel set is in use.
Hold indicator
• Flashes when a call is o n hold.
Battery indicator
• Cycles (low, medium, and full) when bat tery is charging in the spa re battery
compartment.
• Flashes when t he base unit is under power backup mod e (No AC power is
detected).
Mute indicator
• Flashes when the microphone is muted.

Answering machine indicator
• Displays when the answer sy stem is turned off.
Record message indicator
• Displays when the Record Message funct ion is turned off. In thi s mode, the
answering system will only answer the call but not re cord any message.
