Add new handsets to make your telephone more versatile (see page 63)Your VTech i58 71/i5873 telepho ne system can operate up to e ight handse ts. You can add new
handsets (model number i 5808, sold separate ly) at any time, but each must be reg istered with the
base unit before use.
The handset provided with your telephone is automatically registered as Handset 1. Additional handsets
will be assigned numbers in the order they are registered (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8). A maximum of eight
handsets can be registered to each base uni t.
