Troubleshooting
Problem Suggestion
My teleph one doe sn’t
work at all.
• Make sure the power adaptor is p lugged in.
• Make sure the telepho ne line cord is plugged rmly int o the base unit and the telephone wal l
jack.
• Disconnect th e power adaptor for a few minutes, and then recon nect it.
• Charge th e battery in the handset for 16 hours. For optimum daily performanc e, return the
handset to its base unit when not in use.
• Reset the base unit. Unplug the electrical power. Wait for 15 seconds then plug it back in. Allow
up to one minute for the handset and base unit to res et.
• You may need to purchase a new battery, please refer to the Batterie s sections in this user’s
manual.

• Try all the suggestions ab ove.
• Move the handset clos er to the base unit. You might have moved out of range.
• Make sure the tele phone is set to the corre ct dial mode for the t ype of service that you have
(pulse or touc htone). Refer to the Installa tion section of this use r’s manual to set the dial
mode.
• Your line cord might be malfunc tioning. Try installing a new line cord.
• If the prev ious suggestions d o not work, disc onnect the telepho ne base from the telephone
jack and connect a different te lephone. If there is no dial tone on that telephone either, t he
problem is in the wiring or local serv ice. Contact your local telephon e company.
