￿Press and hold the Output Off button a second time until the alarm beeps again.

A single indicator, corresponding with the current setting, remains flashing.

4Press the Output Off button to scroll through the communication options, top to bottom. Each time you press the button, the UPS beeps and the next indicator flashes.

i NOTE If you do not save a selection within two minutes, the setup automatically aborts and switches back to the original configuration.

5Press and hold the Output￿ On button until the alarm beeps to select and save a communication option. Failure to release the button immediately after the beep will cause the UPS to abort the setup.

6Press the Output￿

On button again to return the UPS to Normal Mode.

iNOTE Printer Mode selections are the only serial communication modes available from the front panel.

UPS Serial Communications Menu

With the UPS Serial ￿ommunications (Main) Menu, you can view or select UPS communication modes, baud rates, and LAN configurations. To change or display the current communications configuration:

￿￿onnect the UPS serial port to a video monitor with a serial interface or to your computer's serial port. If you are using shutdown software, the UPS should already be connected to your computer.

￿Set your terminal so that it matches the baud rate of the UPS (usually 2400￿baud, ￿ bits, No parity, 1 stop bit). Refer to your terminal or operating system documentation for details on configuring your terminal communication settings.

￿At the terminal prompt, press Control-Cuntil the UPS Serial ￿ommunications Menu appears.
