When the UPS is operating during a power outage, the alarm beeps several times

initially, and then once every 10 seconds while in Battery Mode. The Indicator illuminates. The front panel displays the approximate percentage of battery capacity remaining (see Figure￿17). When the utility power returns, the UPS switches to Normal Mode operation while the battery recharges.

Figure 17. Battery Operation Indicators

If battery capacity becomes low while in Battery Mode, the ￿3 Indicator begins to flash and the Output On Indicator remains lit, indicating approximately two minutes before UPS shutdown. The alarm beeps every two seconds.

When shutdown is imminent, the Output On Indicator flashes. These warnings are approximate, and the actual time to shutdown may vary significantly. Once these warnings are indicated, immediately complete and save your work to prevent data loss and similar difficulties. When utility power is restored after the UPS shuts down, the UPS automatically connects to the load when the startup is complete.
