The Ear Thermometer 200 uses infrared technology to measure infrared energy emitted from the eardrum and surrounding tissue, and then converts it into temperature value.
2ABOUT BODY TEMPERATURE
Normal human body temperature fluctuates throughout the day; generally, lowest in the morning, highest in the evening.
Different parts of human body also have different temperatures. Therefore, the standards of measuring oral, axillary, rectal and ear temperatures are different. •This thermometer is intended for household use only. The use of this thermometer is not intended as a substi- tute for physician’s consultation.
•When the tempature is higher than 38°, means that the patient may have fever. Contact your doctor.
•Do use a new, clean probe cover while measuring, otherwise the result of measurement will be inaccurate.
•Do not use the thermometer outside the operating ambient temperature of 10°C ~40°C or ambient humidity up over 95% RH.
•For proper measurement, condition the thermometer for 30 minutes in measurement site till room temperature.
•Do not use the thermometer when the ear canel is wet, or when the person is suffering an ear disease.
•Earwax or obstructions will affect the accuracy of the thermometer.
•Sideway sleeping gesture will cause that the ear themperature will rise.
