International Warranty

This warranty is extended worldwide under certain conditions to products purchased from HP or an HP Authorized Reseller which are reshipped by the original purchaser either for use by the original purchaser or provided as an incidental part of systems integrated by the original purchaser. When available in the country of use, service is provided in the same manner as if the product was purchased in that country and can only be provided in countries where the product is designed to operate. Also, standard warranty service response time is subject to change due to local parts availability. If the product is not normally sold by HP in the country of use, it may need to be returned to the country of purchase for service.

HP Year 2000 Warranty

YEAR 2000 WARRANTY FOR HP PRODUCTS

Subject to all of the terms and limitations of the Warranty specified in the HP Warranty Entitlement information on the back cover of this guide, HP warrants that this HP Product will be able to accurately process date data (including, but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, and the years 1999 and 2000, including leap year calculations, when used in accordance with the product documentation provided by HP (including any instructions for installing patches or upgrades), provided that all other products (e.g. hardware, software, firmware) used in combination with such HP Product(s) properly exchange date data with it. The duration of the Year 2000 warranty extends through January 31,2001.

Hewlett-Packard makes no representation or warranty about the Year 2000 readiness of non- HP products including pre-installed operating systems or application software. Customer should contact the software manufacturer directly to determine if any additional actions by Customer are necessary to ensure compliance.

Note MICROSOFT HAS INDICATED THAT MANY OF ITS OPERATING SYSTEM SOFTWARE PRODUCTS AND APPLICATIONS REQUIRE CUSTOMER INSTALLATION OF SOFTWARE PATCHES FOR YEAR 2000 (Y2K) COMPLIANCE AND MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PATCHES IN THE FUTURE. THE NEED FOR SUCH PATCHES MOST LIKELY APPLIES TO THE OPERATING SYSTEM SOFTWARE AND ANY MICROSOFT APPLICATIONS SHIPPED WITH THIS PRODUCT.
