MAIN BROOM HEIGHT CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT
Check the main broom print according to the following procedure:
1.Drive the machine on a level ground.
2.While keeping the machine stationary, lower the main broom and allow it to turn for a few seconds.
3.Stop and lift the main broom, then move the machine.
4.Check that the main broom print is as shown in the fi gure (Fig. O).
5.If the print is not within specifi cations, adjust the main broom height by using the screw (1, Fig. Q).
MAIN BROOM REPLACEMENT
NOTE
Brooms of various hardness are available. This procedure is applicable to all types of brooms.
CAUTION!
It is advisable to wear protective gloves when replacing the main broom because there can be sharp debris between the bristles.
1.Prepare the machine as shown in After Using the Machine paragraph.
2.Remove the right lower lid (50, Fig. F).
3.Remove three wing nuts (1, Fig. R).
4.Remove the dust panel fastening plate (2, Fig. R).
5.Move the dust panel (3, Fig. R).
6.Remove the safety clip (1, Fig. S).
7.Remove the main broom support fl ange (2, Fig. S).
8.Remove the main broom (3, Fig. S) and replace it.
9.Perform steps 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 in the reverse order.
RIGHT DUST PANEL REPLACEMENT
1.Prepare the machine as shown in After Using the Machine paragraph.
2.Start the engine as shown in the relevant paragraph.
3.Turn the engine throttle lever (19, Fig. B - 29, Fig. C) to “MAX”.
4.Lift the hopper (2, Fig. F) by pushing and holding the right distributor lever (12, Fig. B - 31, Fig. C).
5.Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig.
6.Install the support rods (4, Fig. F).
7.Remove the right lower lid (50, Fig. F).
8.Remove three wing nuts (1, Fig. R).
9.Remove the dust panel fastening plate (2, Fig. R).
10.Remove four inner screws (1, Fig. T).
11.Remove the dust panel fastening plate (2, Fig. T).
12.Remove the dust panel (3, Fig. R) and replace it.
13.Perform steps 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 in the reverse order.
LEFT DUST PANEL REPLACEMENT
1.Prepare the machine as shown in After Using the Machine paragraph.
2.Start the engine as shown in the relevant paragraph.
3.Turn the engine throttle lever (19, Fig. B - 29, Fig. C) to “MAX”.
4.Lift the hopper (2, Fig. F) by pushing and holding the right distributor lever (12, Fig. B - 31, Fig. C).
5.Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig.
6.Install the support rods (4, Fig. F).
7.Remove the left lower lid (51, Fig. F).
8.Remove three wing nuts (1, Fig. U).
9.Remove the thrust spring (3, Fig. U).
10.Remove the dust panel fastening plate (2, Fig. U).
11.Remove four inner screws (1, Fig. V).
12.Remove the dust panel fastening plate (2, Fig. V).
13.Remove the dust panel (4, Fig. U) and replace it.
14.Perform steps 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 in the reverse order.
REAR DUST PANEL REPLACEMENT
1.Prepare the machine as shown in After Using the Machine paragraph.
2.Drive the machine on a level ground.
3.Remove two mounting screws (1, Fig. Z), then remove the fastening plate (2).
4.Remove the dust panel (3, Fig. Z) and replace it.
5.Perform steps 2 and 3 in the reverse order.
SKIRT DUST PANEL REPLACEMENT
1.Prepare the machine as shown in After Using the Machine paragraph.
2.Start the engine as shown in the relevant paragraph.
3.Turn the engine throttle lever (19, Fig. B - 29, Fig. C) to “MAX”.
4.Lift the hopper (2, Fig. F) by pushing and holding the right distributor lever (12, Fig. B - 31, Fig. C).
5.Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig.
6.Install the support rods (4, Fig. F).
7.Open the skirt (19, Fig. F) by pushing and holding the left distributor lever (1, Fig.
8.Remove six mounting screws (1, Fig. AA).
9.Remove the dust panel fastening plate (2, Fig. AA) and the skirt dust panel (3).
10.Replace the dust panel (3, Fig. AA).
11.Perform steps 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in the reverse order.
