Large Loaf (1 l/2pounds)

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water l/2 cup chopped onion

1 tablespoon margarine or butter,

softened

BreadTM flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon dry milk

1 l/2 teaspoons salt

1 3/4 teaspoons regular active dry yeast

OR

Small Loaf (1 pound)

213 cup water

Tl/3 cup chopped onion

L teaspoons margarine or butter. softened

2 cups Gold Medal Better for BreadTM flour

1 tablespoon sugar

2 teaspoons dry milk

1 teaspoon salt

314teaspoons regular active dry yeast

OR

l/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast or quick-acting active dry yeast

3 l/4 cups Gold Medal Better for BreadTM flour

l/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

314teaspoon freshly ground black or green peppercorns

1 3/4 teaspoons regular active dry yeast

OR

1 314 teaspoons bread machine yeast or quick-acting active dry yeast

2 teaspoons olive or vegetable oil

2 cups Gold Medal Better for BreadTM flour

l/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese 2 teaspoons sugar

314 teaspoon salt

l/2 teaspoon freshly ground black or green peppercorns

1 l/2 teaspoons regular active dry yeart

OR

1 l/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast or

DIRECTIONS:

l.Remove bread pan; attach kneading blade.

2.Place all ingredients in bread pan in the order listed. 3.lnsert bread pan, close lid and plug in.

4.Select bread type: Press “a” until WHITE is blinking. Press SELECT.

5.5elect crust color: Press “*” until desired color is blinking. Press SELECT.

6.lf rapid cycle is desired, press SELECT when RAPID is blinking. Or press s if rapid cycle is not desiret 7,Select loaf size: Press “=” until LARGE or SMALL is blinking. Press SELECT.

8.Press START. Bread will be done baking in the number of hours indicated.
