6.Pump Hose Connections. When connec- tion the hoses to the pump keep all fittings closed and capped until you are ready to connect the hoses, this is to keep contamination out of the system (See Figure 25). When connection the hoses connect the pressure hoses first (See Fig- ure 6). when the pressure hoses are connected to the pump and to the cylinder control valve & the directional control solenoid valve on the tank (See Figure 24, 25 & 26). Connect the Suction hose to the hose bib fitting on the pump (See Figure 26). Use clean hydraulic oil (recommended type and brand only) pour clean oil into the suction hose from the tank end, this will fill the pump with oil and help when pump is started for the first time to not start dry of oil. After filling hose with oil connect the hose to bottom side of the tank (See Figure 27) The motor pressure hose from pump connects to the directional control valve on the tank (See Fig- ure 28).
