Follow the steps in this section to add the Microsoft

1On the Windows NT desktop, double-click the My Computer icon.

2Double-click the Control Panel icon.

3Double-click the Network icon.

4In the Network window, select the Protocols tab. Click Add.

5In the Select Network Protocol window, select DLC Protocol. Click OK.

6Insert the Windows NT CD in the CD-ROM drive. In the Windows NT Setup window, enter the path for the Windows NT CD. For example:

d:\

The Protocols tab of the Network window is displayed.

7Verify that DLC Protocol is displayed. Click Close.

Bindings messages are displayed. The Network Settings window displays the following message:

You must shut down and restart your computer before the new settings will take effect. Do you want to restart your computer now?

8Click Yes.

This completes the procedure for adding the Microsoft

32-bit DLC network protocol to the Windows NT Network Protocols list for the 3C359 NIC.

After adding the network protocol, install the host connectivity applications (such as client access and emulator applications) that are appropriate for your environment.
