LINE LENGTH (FT)

LINE LENGTH provides selection of the proper

 

output level for the base DSX-1 based on the length

 

of the interface cable.

 

Choices: 1-133 ft, 133-266 ft, 266-399 ft, 399-533 ft,

 

533-655 ft, -7dB

 

 

IN-BAND

IN-BANDLOOPBACK sets the base DSX-1 to accept or

LOOPBACK

reject in-band loopup or loopdown codes (per

(INBAND LPBACK)

ANSI T1.403 specification) which may be sent to

 

the card over the DSX-1 interface. This loopback is

 

a line loopback.

 

Choices: Accept, Reject

 

 

ROBBED BIT

This menu option is used to enable/disable

SIGNALING

robbed-bit signaling. Whenever the base DSX-1

(ROB BIT SIGNL)

interface is connected to terminal equipment (i.e.,

 

PBX/SW56) for voice or dialed data services, this

 

option should be enabled. The only exception is

 

when the terminal equipment is using a form of

 

common channel signaling (i.e., PRI). For

 

applications requiring robbed-bit signalling as well

 

as a messaging channel (i.e., some proprietary PBX

 

channels), the ON:DSOs 1-23selection is provided.

 

Choices: OFF, ON: ALL DSOs, ON: DSOs 1-23
