Cleaning Connections for Accurate Measurements
To clean the recessed end of the connector saver•To clean the recessed end of the connector saver, it is recommende d tha t a
wrapped tip swab or stick cleaner be used. Berkshire’s LT670183 wrapped tip
cotton swab, or Cletop stick cleaners have proven to be an effective clean in g
solution. To clean the recessed end of the connector s aver, insert the stick type
cleaner, and rotate it server times the same direction. Each swab should only
be used once. While this may not remove all of t he contaminant s, it will displace
them away from the center of the fiber (away from the core).
