Connect to a Windows computer via USB You can use a usb cable to connec t your tablet to a Windows
computer and trans fer music, pi ctures, and other les in both di-
rections. This conne ction uses the MTP protoc ol, which is sup-
ported by most recent ve rsions of Windows .
if you are using usb tetherin g, you must turn that of f before you
can use USB to transfer les be tween your table t and computer.
When you connect your ta blet to the usb port o n your computer,
its usb storage is mounted as a dr ive and appears on yo ur com-
puter screen. You can now copy les ba ck and forth as you would
using any other externa l device.
When you’re nished, simp ly disconnect the ta blet by unpluggin g
the usb cable.
To turn usb tethering on or off, go to S ettings >
Wireless & networks > More > Tethe ring & portable
hotspot.
To change your tablet’s USB connecti on options, go
to Settings > Device > Sto rage > Menu > USB com-
puter connection.
