7. Preparing the buttons

Boththe LEDs o fthe Button and the LEDs ofthe Base Unit are blinking white. This means pairing is in progress.
The Base Unit automaticallychecks whether the software of the Button is up to date. If not, the Base Unit updates the Button
software. This may take more time.
Duringthe pairing and upd ateprocess, a m essage is displayed on the screen: “Pairing and updating Button. Busy pairing and
updating”

The resultof the pairing process can be as follows:
- When the LEDs become static white, the Button is paired to the Base Unit, but no softwareupd atewas ne eded. You can
unplug the Button fromthe Base Unit.
- Whenthe LEDs become static red, the Button is paired to the Base Unit and the software update has nished. Youcan unplug
the Button from the Base Unit.

7.2 Pre-install of the Launcher service

Launcher service pre-install

The ClickShare Launcher service can be pre-installedon your laptop or on company level. How this is done depends on your IT
infrastructure.
Whenthe Launcher service is pre-installed, a launcher application runs in the background. W hen you plug the Button in your laptop,
theClickShare application will be run from the Button automatically. There is no need to run the le from the Button.
Thepre-installer can be downloaded from the Base Unit’s web interface and the Barco website.
