QoS is also ideal for small businesses using an office server as a web server. With QoS control, web pages served to your customers can be given top priority and delivered first so that it will not be impeded by email and office web browsing.

Here is a good example of how QoS can work in an office environment. A CEO is holding a videoconference with international clients in the meeting room. However, the streaming video and voice frequently lag. Sales people are talking to international agencies via VoIP phone, while sending orders via email to vendors for production. However, some staff are downloading MP3 music files, large-size photos and watching video streaming online. Consequently, the Internet connection slows down. This is why business users need QoS to manage data traffic.
