APPENDIX A - REFERENCE GUIDE

A.1 CONTROL MENUS

File menu

The ‘File’ menu covers opening, saving, closing, deleting and printing of intercom files, and terminating the application. The menu consists of the following items:

•New... allows the user to create a new intercom file (refer to page 3-5).

•Open... allows the user to open an existing intercom file. These files are specified from dialogue boxes displayed when this menu item is selected (refer to page 3-7).

•Save... allows the user to save the currently open intercom file (refer to page 3-8).

•Save As... allows the user to save the currently open intercom file under a new name. The original file is left unchanged (refer to page 3-8).

•Delete... allows the user to delete an intercom file (refer to page 3-9).

•Print Activity... allows the user to print up to nine copies of the current

A intercom file (refer to page 4-9).

•Exit terminates Intercom. If a file has been created or changed, the program asks if it is necessary to save it (refer to page 4-11).

Edit menu

The ‘Edit’ menu covers setting up special intercom links. The menu consists of the following item:

•‘Links...’ allows the user to assign and delete special intercom links (refer to page 3-11).
