Follow this procedure to set the ﬁle settings.

Setting Procedure

Open all three one-touch speed dialing panels.

Press [Data Registration].

Setting Up the Access Code Key Page Page Using Speed Dialing Using One-Touch Speed Dialing Press the desired one-touch speed dialing key. Page Using Coded Speed Dialing Press [Coded Dial] enter the desired three digit code (000-127) using the numeric keys. Using Group Dialing Page Using Access Code Dialing Follow the procedure to start a transmission and send a document using access code dialing. Press the access code key that you have set. Page Sending Documents Setting a Document for Sending This section explains how to place your documents on the machine. Preparing the Document Setting the Document on the Machine Place your document face up in the document feeder tray. Adjust the document guides to t the width of your document. Adjusting the Scan Settings Page Selecting a Senders Name Open all three one-touch speed dialing panels press [TTI Selector]. Page Using Regular Dialing Dial the telephone number using the numeric keys. Cancel Sending a Document Follow this procedure to cancel a transmission in progress. Cancel Sending on a Single Line Press [ ] to cancel the transmission. Cancel Sending on a Dual Line Press [] or [] to select the transaction you want to cancel Press [ ] to cancel the transmission. Checking/Canceling Fax Jobs Flow of Checking Operations Press [Monitor]. Canceling with the Stop key Canceling a Job from the Monitor Screen You can cancel a fax job during sending or while it is waiting to be processed. Display the job you want to cancel. Press [ ]. Dialing Long Distance with Regular Dialing Follow this procedure to dial a long distance number and send a document using regular dialing. Press [Hook] if you want to use Manual Sending. Dial the long distance number using the numeric keys. Dial the remainder of the number using the numeric keys Press [Start] hang up your handset. Overview of Sending Methods Memory Sending Messages Displayed After Pressing the Start Key Direct Sending Press [Direct TX]. Page Manual Sending Press [Hook]. When you hear the other party answer the call, pick up the handset and talk. Ask the other party to press the start key on their fax machine, then hang up their handset. Using the Machine as a Copier Preparing the Document Setting a Document on the Machine Page Adjusting the Scan Settings Making Copies Follow this procedure to use the machine as a copier. Press [Copy]. Specify the document settings. If you want to select another paper cassette or the MP tray press [] or []. Enter the number of copies (01 to 99) using the numeric keys. Press [Start]. Checking/Canceling Copy Jobs Flow of Checking Operations Canceling with the Stop Key Canceling from the Monitor Screen You can cancel a job during printing or while it is waiting to be processed. Enter the ITU-T password using the numeric keys press Press [Start]. Polling to Receive at a Preset Time Page Page Enter a password (up to seven digits) using the numeric keys Press [] or [] until <3.SELECT LOCATIONS> appears Specify the destination to poll press [Set].
