TMac OS X
With Mac OS X use Print Center to select the printer. However, if the printer is switched off, or if the cable is disconnected, the name of the printer will not appear in the list. Be sure to check the status of the printer before starting a print job.
An example using Mac OS X Ver. 10.2 is described here. The appearance and name of the icon is slightly different using Ver. 10.1.
1 Select the Finder then select Applications from the Go menu.
2 Open the Utilities folder and open Print Center.
