Installing OSP155/ESP155/BCP155 Line Interface Cards

Cabling the OSP155 and BCP155

OSP155 and BCP155 cables should be attached to the line interface card before installing in the BROADway chassis. Be careful when installing OSP155 or BCP155 cards; minimize the potential for eye damage by not looking directly into any fiber optic cable or optical transceiver port when the card is inserted into a powered system. To cable and insert the OSP155 and BCP155 cards:

1. First attach the duplex fiber optic cable to the line interface port:

Singlemode Fiber Optic Cable

Be careful not to bend the cable too sharply,

or you might break the fiber inside

Insert the singlemode fiber optic cable

Remove the dust plugs from the optical transceiver
