9.6.6File Move/Rename (/N)

Function

This function moves a file within the same drive or renames the file on the host. A file cannot be

moved into a different drive.

Startup Method

If HT-to-HT communication is to be performed, specify this option on the terminal.

Move source pathname

Specify the objective file to be moved or renamed on the host side by its full pathname, including

￿the drive name.

Wild cards cannot be used for the file name.

Move destination pathname

Specify a file name used as the move destination or the resultant file name of rename.

￿This file name must be specified by its full pathname, including the drive name. If the specified directory does not exist, it will be automatically created.

Example of specifications

FLINK /N A:

TEST

KK.DAT

This specification moves "A:￿TEST￿KK.DAT" to

A:
