Removing the SDRAM DIMM

To remove the existing DIMM, use the following procedure:

Step 1 Make sure that you are properly grounded.

Step 2 Locate the DIMM and position the chassis so that you are facing the DIMM module you want to remove.

Step 3 Open the DIMM latches on the DIMM to release the DIMM from the socket. (See Figure 6-8) The DIMM is under tension in the socket; therefore, the DIMM might be released from the socket with some force.
