Solving CD-ROM Drive and DVD-ROM Drive Problems Continued

System cannot start up from a CD-ROM.

System does not initiate Suspend (Standby) while a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM is in the system.

A bootable CD-ROM is not in the CD-ROM drive.

CD-ROM boot ability is disabled.

The system cannot initiate Suspend (Standby) while auto insert notification is turned on.

Verify that a CD-ROM with the necessary system files is in the drive.

Enable CD-ROM boot ability.

Turn off auto insert notification. Refer to Chapter 4 for procedures.
