Bluetooth Features

Bluetooth Connectivity Mode

The feature allows the imager to be linked to any Bluetooth (BT) enabled device which can accept such a connection with other devices. To implement this mode, follow these instructions:

1.Place the imager in Programming Mode by scanning the START bar code.

2.Scan the “Connect to a BT Device” bar code to put the imager in the mode enabling a link to a device other than its own Base Sta- tion.

3.Scan the END bar code to exit Programming Mode.

4.Scan the “Begin Pin” bar code.

5.Set the four- to six-character PIN code assigned to the target Blue- tooth device using the bar codes available in Appendix B, Alpha-

Numeric Pad.

6.Scan the “End Pin” bar code.

7.Use the software that drives the other BT device to scan for devices in the area. The QS6500BT imager will be displayed as "Data- logic1 handheld scanner." Each BT device uses different methods to link, so you’ll need to follow the instructions for the device being connected to.

The Serial Peripheral Protocol is the only inter- face supported.

NOTE

1.Depending upon when your scanner was purchased, the display might read “PSC hand- held scanner.”
