Removing the SATA Cable Kits

CAUTION: See your System Information Guide for complete information about safety precautions, working inside the computer, and protecting against electrostatic discharge.

1Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.

2Dismount the system from the rack.

3Remove the bezel.

a Push the bezel release latches inward. b Pull the panel away from the system.

4Open the system.

a Loosen the two captive screws at the back of the system.

b While pressing down on the cover indention, slide the cover backward about an inch, and grasp the cover on both sides.

c Carefully lift the cover away from the system.

5Disconnect the SATA data cables (0-3) from the daughter card.

6Disconnect the power cables from the power distribution board.

7Using a philips screwdriver, remove the two screws that secure the data and power cables (0-3) to the chassis.

8Lift the assembly out of the chassis.

Processor

It is possible to upgrade your processor to take advantage of future options in speed and functionality. Each processor and its associated internal cache memory are contained in a pin grid array (PGA) package that is installed in a ZIF socket on the system board.
