6Connect a power cable to the hard drive and to the power supply.

7Connect the serial ATA cable to the back of the drive and to the SATA connector on the system board.

Removing an Optional Third Hard Drive (Desktop Computer)

1If you are replacing a hard drive that contains data that you want to keep, back up your files before you begin this procedure.

2Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 143.

3Remove the computer cover (see "Removing the Computer Cover" on page 145).

4Remove the front panel (see "Removing the Front Panel" on page 154).

5Disconnect the power cable from the back of the hard drive and from the power supply.
