CHAUTO-SENSE

This option specifies how the printer’s memory is allocated among the channels. There are two basic settings: AUTO-SENSE and INDIVIDUAL. With AUTO-SENSE the printer automatically detects which interface channel (parallel, serial, or optional) is being used. This is the default setting and is the best choice for most uses of the printer. The INDIVIDUAL setting requires you to add memory to the printer and allows you to allocate independent memory to each channel. Choose INDIVIDUAL only if you regularly print raw data such as DOS text or program lists.
