Status and Error Messages

[E]SET FULL PRINT

This message may appear when you are trying to print graphics or a mix of text and graphics. Press CONTINUE and then change the FULL PRINT setting in SelecType Level 1. See Chapter 4 for more information about this setting.

[S]STANDBY MODE

If the standby mode is enabled, the printer enters this mode when it is not used for about thirty minutes. Even if the standby mode is disabled, the printer enters standby mode when it is not used for eight hours. When this message appears, press any control panel button or send data to the printer to warm it up.

[W] TONER LOW

The printer is almost out of toner. When you see this message, you can still print up to 20 more pages. Then you must replace the toner cartridge.

[E]TONER OUTThe toner cartridge must be replaced, as described in Chapter 6.[E]TRAY SET XXX

The paper-size setting does not match the paper loaded in the specified paper cassette. The right column of the display indicates the currently selected cassette and the expected paper size. You can either change the paper-size setting or load the correct paper size. After you correct the paper mismatch, press

CONTINUE.

[S] WALTThe printer is being reset after a startup error.[S]WARMING UPThe printer is warming up.
