6.6.5Remote / Mobile

You can configure the compression format for the sub-stream for mobile phone access. Select H.264 or MJPEG codec to enable the mobile phone access function.

H.264: The H.264 codec is compatible with iPhone and Android MobileFocus applications and the standard IE PC Web interface.

MJPEG: The MJPEG codec is compatible with IE Web browser viewing on many smart phones and other Web browsers (FireFox, MAC Safari, Opera, etc.).

6.6.6Network Testing

The Ping utility is useful in diagnosing connectivity problems by obtaining responses from nodes progressively farther along the network. DNS functionality can also be confirmed by entering a valid DNS name instead of an IP address.

To verify basic network connectivity between the DVR and other LAN or WAN nodes, click the Ping button.
