Preheating and pan placement

Preheat the oven if the recipe calls for it. To preheat, set the oven at the correct temperature. Preheating is necessary for good results when baking cakes, cookies, pastry and breads.

For ovens without a preheat indicator light or tone, preheat 10 minutes.

Baking results will be better if baking pans are centered in the oven as much as possible. Pans should not touch each other or the walls of the oven. If you need to use two racks, stagger the pans so one is not directly above the other, and leave approximately 112″ between pans, from the front, back and sides of the wall.

Aluminum foil

You can use aluminum foil to line the broiler pan and broiler grid. However, you must mold the foil tightly to the grid and cut slits in it just like the grid.

Aluminum foil may also be used to catch a spillover.

Never entirely cover a rack with aluminum foil. This will disturb the heat circulation and result in poor baking.

A smaller sheet of foil may be used to catch a spillover by placing it on a lower rack several inches below the food.

Cut slits in the foil just like the grid.

ZEK938, ZET938, ZEK958, ZET958 specifications

The GE Monogram ZET958, ZEK958, ZET938, and ZEK938 are premium wall ovens designed to elevate culinary experiences in modern kitchens. With a focus on innovation, these models combine sophisticated design with advanced technology to deliver exceptional cooking performance.

One of the standout features of the GE Monogram wall ovens is their European-inspired design, which offers a sleek and professional appearance. The stainless steel finish not only enhances the aesthetic of any kitchen but also ensures durability and ease of cleaning. The ergonomic controls are strategically positioned for user convenience, allowing easy access to all cooking functions.

In terms of cooking capabilities, these wall ovens are equipped with a powerful convection system. This technology circulates heated air throughout the oven, ensuring that food cooks evenly and efficiently, eliminating hot spots. This results in perfectly baked goods and evenly roasted meats every time.

The ovens also feature multiple cooking modes, including traditional bake, roast, broil, and the advanced steam baking option. A steam baking function introduces moisture into the oven during the baking process, which helps to create a beautifully crisp exterior while keeping the interior moist. This is particularly beneficial for artisan bread, pastries, and even meats.

Another significant characteristic of the GE Monogram series is the integration of smart technology. With Wi-Fi connectivity, users can monitor and control their ovens remotely via a smartphone app. This functionality allows chefs to preheat their ovens, adjust cooking settings, or receive notifications when their food is ready, making it easier to multitask in today's fast-paced environment.

Furthermore, these models come with a self-cleaning feature that minimizes user maintenance. The high-temperature cleaning cycle vaporizes food residue, leaving the oven clean without the need for scrubbing.

Safety is also a priority in these wall ovens, featuring advanced sensors that detect when the oven is overheated and automatically shut it down to prevent accidents.

In summary, the GE Monogram ZET958, ZEK958, ZET938, and ZEK938 wall ovens embody luxury and functionality. With their combination of powerful convection cooking, steam baking, smart technology, and elegant design, these ovens meet the needs of both amateur cooks and seasoned chefs, making them a valuable addition to any kitchen.
