Solving Battery Pack/Gauge Problems
Problem
Notebook is beeping and battery icon is blinking.
Notebook battery icon on the front of the unit blinks to indicate low- battery condition, but the Notebook does not beep.
Battery icon does not light, and battery pack will not fast charge.
Battery pack was exposed to extreme temperatures.
Battery pack is at the end of its life.
You have to set the date and time every time you turn on the Notebook.
Battery charge does not last as long as expected.

Probable Cause
Battery charge is low.
Volume is turned down too low.
Battery pack is already charged.
RTC battery is dead.
Battery is being exposed to high or extremely cold temperatures.
Solution
Immediately save any open file(s). Then try either pf the following solutions:
•Connect the Notebook to an external power source to charge the battery pack.
•Turn off the Notebook or initiate Hibernation until you can find another power source or charge the battery pack.
Adjust the volume.
No action is necessary.
Allow the battery pack time to return to room temperature.
Replace the battery pack.
Replace the RTC battery. See Removing the RTC Battery section in this guide.
Keep the battery pack within the recommended temperature range for operation or storage.

Recharge the battery pack.
